Triumph Bonneville Scrambler865cc |
Bonnie Scrambler
"I really like this bike! Starting with a Scrambler, the goal was to make it look like a Steve McQueen-era desert sled. "That meant drum brakes, aluminium fenders, a thick Bates desert style seat, an actual “Bonneville” style, narrow, early tank made from aluminium, high pipes with “Snuf-or-nots” which scream when the throttle is pinned, and minimal fluff everywhere else. "This motorcycle looks so different from what we started with. I just don’t understand why Triumph doesn’t “get it”. "The motor is stock on this one as it’s primarily a styling exercise. The customer who is in the auto marketing business, was going to market and sell replicas of this bike, but as so often happens, he didn't. "However, I currently have three Scramblers in work, one with drum brakes, the others with discs. I believe each one will be very unique and interesting, done in the Mule fashion."
