You don't have to be stinking rich to buy necessary stuff at Bonhams' auctions (but naturally, it helps). Instead, little people like us can get our mitts on some pretty cool collectibles that will, in all probability, only rise in value whilst covering that nasty stain on the wall.

Such as what? Well, biking movie posters. Yes, some of these are strictly low-brow, trashy, B-movie flops and kitch gems. But as cultural signposts and launch pads for numerous acting careers, they're wonderful markers to a different age that's slowly being bulldozed by the passage of time.

We saw some of these movies way back when and cringed at the wafer thin plots and stilted dialogue. But between mouthfuls of popcorn and cokes and cigarettes, we watched them anyway (remember when you could smoke in a cinema and saw all the on-screen action thin a thin blue haze?).

Meanwhile, Bonhams has plenty of other petrolhead stuff including a more recent Steve McQueen ISDT poster, old pre-war Vincent brochures and ... well, check it out for yourself. There's a world of interesting and exciting memorabilia out there waiting for you, but ya gotta get in the groove. Know what we're saying?

Take a look at the stuff below, then make a pitch if it floats your boat.
