Bonhams Las Vegas, 9th Jan 2014

At this moment (18th November 2013) we can see only two British bikes at this sale, but that will no doubt change over the next few weeks.

The two bikes currently listed are a 1949 Triumph 6T bobber, and the ex-Jeff Decker 1952 998cc Vincent Rapide Series C "Black Lightning" Special that failed to sell at Quail Lodge in August 2013 (see Sump August 2013).

The Quail estimate was £65,000 - £81,000, but we don't yet have any estimates for the Las Vegas Sale bikes.

But naturally there's some pretty cool (American) stuff on offer including the above 1921 Indian "Harley Eater" board track racer, but Bonhams is looking for more entries.

If you're interested, you know what you have to do. Just remember that these auctions often carry headline bikes, but there is always space for little people like us. Which means that flogging your BSA Bantam at a Las Vegas Sale, and then blowing the proceeds (along with your life inheritance) at a casino and getting chased out of town by the mafia culminating in a shoot out in Arizona has got to be an experience worth having.

Or have we been watching too much TV lately?
