Circa 1925 Douglas RA for Harrogate
This 494cc, OHV, circa-1925 horizontally opposed Douglas Model RA (Lot 337) is on offer by Bonhams at its Harrogate Sale on Wednesday 13th November 2013. The reserve is £10,000 - £14,000.
Douglas (founded 1907) is largely forgotten now, but in its day, the firm was a serious racing force and one that notched up win after win on the speedway and Grand Prix racing circuits of Europe and made thousands of race goers sit up and take notice at both the senior and junior IOM TT events. Nevertheless, the Douglas men will be watching this one closely. So will we. We just love these ultra cool Douglases. Check it out.
