The BMW Story book, 2nd edition

The BMW Story

The book is the second edition, and it's pretty much the most complete book on BMW motorcycles that we've ever seen. The story starts in 1923 and culminates in 2019. Packed with images, diagrams, facts and figures, author Ian Falloon takes us through the momentous history of the company, and explores the commercial and technical intricacies of some of the greatest motorcycles ever built.

Harry's your man

The Triumph Trophy Bible

The late Harry Woolridge is your master of ceremonies with this book, and you couldn't be in better hands. An ex-Meriden Triumph man, Harry was practically weaned and raised on Triumph twins, and what he doesn't know ain't (to coin a phrase) worth knowing. This book covers all the Trophys, both pre-unit and unit. And it has plenty to say about Tigers of all eras—and that includes the 750cc bikes. Trustworthy, authoritative and insightful. It's a must for owners and fans of these bikes. Packed with images, you'll OD on detail.

Serious reading

Franklin's Indians

Franklin's Indians

If you want a heavyweight book that's going to give you hours of satisfying and comprehensive reading, then Franklin's Indians will do very nicely. As the name suggests, this is an in-depth study of the Indian Motorcycles (or should that be "Motocycles"?) designed by Charles B Franklin, and it has much to say about Franklin too. With over 300 pages backed with colour and b&w images and graphics, this is a textbook rather than a coffee table volume. Harry Sucher, Timothy Pickering, Liam Diamond and Harry Havelin are the authors, and these guys have earned his keep with this one. Very enjoyable romp through Indian country.

WAITING FOR YOUR SUMP ORDER?

If you've recently bought a Sump T-shirt, a book, a motorcycle lock, a framed print, a tin wall sign or whatever, and if your order hasn't arrived, you might want to check your email spam box. We regularly find that customers have failed to give the information we need to process the order (size, full address, style, colour, etc).

If there's a query, we make three attempts to contact buyers, and if we get no reply, we cancel the order and return any payment. But that can lead to disappointment, especially if the item is a gift for someone. So if you haven't heard from us within 24 hours of placing your order, please check your spam box, or contact us again.
