BMW R nineT model: £7530th November 2015 Model | Gift | roadster | 1/10th scale | Boxer ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY► We're assuming that the detail on this BMW R nineT Boxer roadster model is as good up close as the vendor claims. But the fact is, we haven't seen the model, and the snapshots were hopelessly inadequate and told us very little. We're also advised that this is the "perfect stocking filler", which is lazy marketing.
Gifts shouldn't be bought simply because they plug a hole in a length of hosiery. Gifts should be bought with forethought and care. Or malice. Or not at all. That aside, this model is said to be approved by BMW, is 1/10th scale, and measures 20cm x 15cm. The steering, side-stand and suspension is "fully" operational. The tyre tread pattern is said to be accurate, and apparently you can even read the writing on the instruments. All in all, it's hardly a compelling sales pitch, especially when you're expecting to hand over seventy-five nicker, including VAT. But that's the offer. Buy or don't buy. www.nippynormans.com ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY► | MOTORCYCLE NEWS - LATEST!!
