If you're a Calgarian, and 1.2 million people are, there's a new exhibition coming atcha starting on 5th February 2016 and finishing on 24th April 2016. It's called Reflections in Chrome: Motorcycle Retrospectives, and it sounds like a cheesy, synthetic, superficial, by-the-numbers tour through biking history for the usual Sunday wowsers (as opposed to a more serious down-and-dirty backyard seminar for the world's rivet counters). But that's okay with us, normal folk need entertainment too, and the motorcycle world has broad shoulders.

At this Canadian show, you can expect to rub those broad shoulders with no less than ... well, 30 bikes from the Canadian Vintage Motorcycle Group (Rocky Mountain section), which promotes the restoration and use of old heaps, and doesn't anticipate making a profit from its activities at any time in the foreseeable future. And if 30 bikes sounds a little limited in scope, you can be sure that these guys will make up for it in terms of enthusiasm, energy and commitment (it's always the way in the more remote outposts of the biking universe).

The exhibition will be held at Gasoline Alley in Calgary's well-established Heritage Park (opened in 1964), and the event is billed as an opportunity for the denizens of Alberta to discover over a century of old and new two-wheeled transportation including a 1905 Armac cycle car to a modern Honda Gold Wing plus ... well, around 28 other bikes.

It seems that this is the first time that Gasoline Alley has devoted an exhibit solely to bikes, so make the most of it.
