H.O.G membership offer21st December 2015 Harley-Davidson | Museum | Milwaukee ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY►
If riding Route 66, or cruising the Pacific Coast Highway, or attending the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in North Dakota does quite float your boat, then maybe the offer of free VIP admission to the Harley-Davidson Museum at 400 W Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53201 will do it for you. However, to get this particular backstage pass, you have to be either a Full Member, a Life Member or an Associate Member of H.O.G; aka the Harley Owners Group. Full Membership costs £53 for one year. But if you buy a new Harley-Davidson, that's included in the purchase price (for the first year, anyway). Associate Membership costs £29 per annum. And if you want to become a Life Member or Associate Life Member, the price is a fiercely guarded secret or something, because when we checked, it seems that you've got to approach the Harley Owner's Group (HOG) individually before they'll tell you. Go figure.
As for the museum itself. apparently it's stuffed with old and new Harley-Davidson motorcycles and memorabilia and history and race trophies and stuff like that. The doors are open 363 days of the year. Currently HOG claims a membership of almost one million members, with over 1,400 chapters in 140 countries. If you're a Harley-Davidson man or woman, that museum probably sounds like a hoot. But if you're not one of the initiated, a quiet afternoon in front of the telly might suit you better. www.members.hog.com ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY► |
