Nobody panic! It's probably nothing to get excited about. But until you get it looked at, it might not be a good idea to go out riding. We're talking about the rear brake on your Indian Chief Classic, Chief Vintage, Chieftain and Roadmaster manufactured between January and October 2015. In the USA, 7611 bikes have had their leads jerked. In Europe, it's reckoned that 343 motorcycles are suspect. And if you've got a 2016 Dark Horse model, as shown above, go talk to your dealer. And what, pray tell, is the specific problem? Well we don't know because Indian isn't telling. But it's something to do with the piston or piston seal and the risk of a sudden loss of pressure.
Like we said, don't panic! But don't neglect it either. Go and renew your friendship with your favourite Indian dealer. ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY► |
