Honda CB4 concept bike

A lot of people are talking about this bike as a spin-off from the current Honda CBR650F. And that may or may not be true. But we think that in spirit at least, it's actually a successor to Honda's near legendary CB400-4 which was once about as cool as you could get in the mid-capacity range of "Jap crap".

And isn't that suggestion implied in the CB4 name? Honda itself isn't saying much about this. Actually, the firm is saying next to nothing. It's simply released a few images and has left the biking journos to theorise and speculate until the facts come out.

Of course, part of the underlying ethos of these custom concepts is to simply soften up the market for new thinking or marketing strategies, and part of it is to keep a flame burning and refocus attention on the brand.

Either way, we can imagine this (or something very similar) on the production line sooner or later. Honda is presently flirting with a number of similar concepts. But to us, this one is the most stylish and viable. Watch out for it.
