About this framed print...
It was the Americans who convinced Triumph of the need to increase the cubes of the 500cc Speed Twin and create a more powerful six-fifty roadster. Meriden Triumph took the bait, and although supremo Edward Turner felt that a half-litre vertical twin was the optimum size, the offer of US cash was too good to resist.
What followed was the Triumph Thunderbird, which you can think of as a Speed Twin on steroids. These great looking 650cc motorcycles are good for 100mph and, whilst not offering superlative handling, they're nevertheless pretty well-mannered and give the rider plenty of feedback when things are starting to go wrong. We love 'em for their looks, sound, ease of maintenance and general feel.
Our Triumph Thunderbird print is mounted in a 225mm x 175mm x 16mm solid oak frame. The high quality image measures 203mm x 152mm (or 8-inches x 6-inches, if you prefer).
The print is designed to hang on your wall, or sit nicely on your desk or shelf or mantelpiece. And in a group of four these images look a whole lot better. Looking for a set of 4 framed prints?
Instructions for use:
1. Remove carefully from the packaging.
2. Inspect the framed print (or prints) and feel pleased that you bought it/them.
3. Find a suitable spot on a wall, desk or shelf.
4. Position the frame or frames thoughtfully, or hang on a secure wall hook or hooks. Tip: If you're not handy with a drill, Rawlplug and screwdriver, take the appropriate training course or ask a friend.
5. Carefully hang the frame or frames avoiding direct sunlight.
6. Open a beer, light a fag, hug your partner or favourite pet.
7. Stand back and enjoy the print or prints and do this as often as time and convenience allows.
8. Drop us an email to let us know how satisfied you are.
9. Wipe the print or prints every once in a while and occasionally clean the glass.
10. Tell your friends.
That's all that's required. The print, or prints, should still be fit for purpose long after you're gone, and we hope that's a long time into the future.
