You know how it is with some products when you can't decide if you like it or not? Well that's how it is with us and Weise's new Fury jacket. We don't hate it, and we don't love it. Instead, our approval needle is flickering around the midway point—which is actually a good place to start. After all, the products that instantly light your torch very often cool rapidly leaving the slower burning stuff to go the distance. That's our experience, anyway. Regardless, this jacket, which has just been released, "combines the comfort and style of a classic denim jacket with the reassurance of leather overlay panels and CE protection in key areas, and the practicality of a waterproof liner." 
We haven't seen this item up close, but it certainly appears to fit the brief. Moreover, the idea of wearing biking clobber that looks good both on and off the bike is highly appealing. That is to say, who the hell wants to push a shopping trolley around Tesco wearing a one-piece leather race suit? But okay, who the hell wants to push a shopping trolley around any bloody supermarket, whatever they're wearing. Not us. But the point is that we prefer motorcycle kit that's wearable in pretty much any social situation that we're likely to find ourselves in (pub, MOT station, magistrate's court, etc). 
Weise will also tell you that the jacket is equipped with a fixed waterproof, windproof and breathable liner plus a removable thermal lining. There are also four external and two internal pockets, with an 8-inch connecting YKK zip to attach a pair of Weise trousers. And if anything goes wrong or unravels, there's a creditable 2-year warranty. It all adds up to a pretty convincing package, and we're warming on this product, lookswise. The recommended retail price is £149.99, and that's pretty convincing too. If you want one, go chinwag with your local bike dealer and try one for size (S - 5XL). And need we remind anyone that where you try it, you really ought to buy it? So no running off to Amazon for a lower price, huh?
