▲ 2020 Indian Scout Bobber Twenty. It's 100 years since the first Indian Scout was let out of its cage, a model much loved by racers, tourers, law enforcement officers, commercial traders and everyday motorcyclists. The new Scout Bobber Twenty has since grown in power, capacity and stature, and now offers a thumpin' 1,133cc liquid-cooled V-twin engine churning out 94bhp. So okay, the standard Scout Bobber is running the same motor. And the standard Bobber has the same chassis. What's different are the wire wheels, the floating saddle, the high-level handlebars and the extra chrome. You can have yours in green, black or red. But if you're looking for something a little more conservative, talk to your Indian dealer about the 100th Anniversary Scout. No prices or delivery dates yet, but given that these are commemorative bikes, we expect to see them fairly soon. www.indianmotorcycle.co.uk

New H-D Technologies

Harley-Davidson has announced two new packages for selected models designed to keep riders in-tune with the latest electronic techy must-haves whilst helping them stay vertical.

Connect Service

The first is the H-D™ Connect Service. This is a suite of toys designed to keep you in touch with your bike. It also allows Harley-Davidson dealers to keep you informed of service intervals and factory recalls. Basically, riders can now use their smartphones to pinpoint the location of their bike and study its current status (health check, fuel level, mileage covered, battery charge level, infotainment stuff, and suchlike).

2019 Herald Rambler 125

2019 Herald Rambler 125

This might not be the shortest news story we've ever written, but no one is likely to fall asleep whilst reading it. The gist of it, as gleaned from the very brief press release, is that the Herald Motor Company based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire has re-launched their older 250 Rambler single as a 125 single knocking out 9.6bhp. There's just one colour on offer; gunmetal metallic with a tan seat. Other features include "slim black side panels, a headlight grill, a short front mudguard and LED indicators. The press release doesn't specify the engine origination. But it looks like another Chinese-built copy of the Suzuki GN125 motor.

2020 Low Rider S launched

It's no wonder that Harley-Davidson is having so much trouble these days shifting bikes. We get regular press releases from Milwaukee and its minions, and most of them go straight into the trash. That's because said press releases tend to talk and talk and talk, but say nothing; at least, nothing that means anything, and nothing that we ain't heard a hundred times before. Which makes Messrs H-D the masters of serving up the same, but different, and that's not good for press coverage. Not around here, anyway. But don't misunderstand us. We LOVE Harley-Davidson. We've owned a few and ridden plenty more, so we're well versed in H-D lore, etiquette and marketing spiel. However, if the firm indulged in a little brevity and stopped trying so hard to sell, we might find buying a little easier.

Motorcycle workshirt

Sump workshirt £26.99

All purpose street & garage wear

We spend much of our miserable lives in the garage. Usually we're fixing bikes and stuff, and all too often we're re-fixing the stuff we ought to have fixed properly the first time around.

So it goes.

Anyway, we wanted to increase our product range (that's partly how we fund Sump) and we've been thinking for some time about introducing workshirts and general shirts that we might want to wear when the weather closes in—which is most of the time in the UK. Anyway, this is the result; our first Sump branded garage/all purpose shirt.

The Sump logo is featured above the left-side pocket only (notice how we cunningly avoided saying "breast"?). The image quality is very good and will last the life of the shirt.

We think these are pretty good quality and worth the money. First come, first served, etc.

Hit the button below, baby...

BSA motorcycle workshirt

BSA M20/M21

workshirt £26.99

All purpose street & garage wear

Seems that plenty of folk love our BSA M20/M21 T-shirt design which features the above roundel. So, to widen the appea we decided to reproduce it on a more formal shirt that you might want to wear in the garage or in the magistrate's court.

The shirts are 100% cotton twill, which means they're tougher than ordinary cotton. We wear these ourselves, and we're perfectly happy with them—and we're nothing if not hard to please. Follow the links and see if they're right for you (Hint: they probably are).

The BSA M20/M21 roundel is featured above the left-side pocket only. And when you wear this, other BSA folk will notice and might even become your friend and take you out for walks and stuff. It happens.

The image quality is very good and will last the life of the shirt. You know you want it, and you know we've got it.
