2020 Ducati 1100 PROs 28th January 2020 1100 PRO | 1100 Sport PRO | Scramblers ◄PREVIOUS STORY NEXT STORY►
Ducati has warmed-over its 1100cc Scramblers with two new, or newish, models that are about to hit the streets for the 2020 season; notably the 1100 PRO (image immediately above) and the 1100 PRO Sport. Being warmed-over, the bikes are essentially the same, but there are a couple of changes that are worth highlighting. Firstly, although the engine is the same 1,079cc air-cooled L-twin, the mixture's been cleaned up a little to stay in favour with the emissions regs. But the power, we're told, is much the same as that of the standard 1100s at around 86hp @ 7,500rpm—and that, apparently, returns a still respectable torque figure of 65lb-ft @ 4,750rpm.
The Sport PRO (image immediately above) sees a suspension upgrade with Öhlins equipment front and rear (as opposed to the current Marzocchi front fork and Kayaba rear shock absorber/damper). The exhaust has been revised with both silencers now on the right as opposed to one either side. The number plate has been shifted from the rear 'guard to a side-mounted position. A bar-end mirror and flatter handlebars have been fitted to the Sport PRO, and there are new graphics.
Finally, Ducati Traction Control, Bosch Cornering ABS and 3 Rider Modes are still on tap. There's no word on pricing yet, but the bikes are promised to be in the showroom by March 2020.
