Route 66, NM

We're back on the road on I-40 which is masquerading as Route 66. Our destination is Winslow, Arizona by way of Lupton, Houck, Sanders, Sun Valley, Holbrook, and Joseph City. We feel very American now, but in a British kind of way. It feels like home. Familiar. Comfortable. Traffic is calm and orderly. Pick up trucks and semis are dominant, or so it seems. We've been discussing American TV. It's terrible. Constant health adverts. Political messages. Adverts popping up 30 seconds before a movie ends. Synthetic presenters. Yikes! We compare it to the BBC and agree that America is a great country, but don't switch on the telly.
