Pretty much everything in this town is Route 66 focussed. Trinkets. Souvenirs. Memorabilia. T-shirts. Leather goods. Reproduction road signs. Goldies Route 66 Diner. Cruiser's Route 66 Cafe. Pete's Route 66 Gas Station. Stay too long and you'll overdose. So we park and walk for a while and find an old steam locomotive from the 19th century. Nearby is a helicopter permanently grounded. Kool cars and Harley-Davidsons cruise by. Whatever "spirit" Route 66 has is over-commercialised. So we split.
