De Soto's Salon Winslow, AZ
We nearly forget to mention this cool DeSoto parked on a barber's shop in Winslow, Arizona. So we walked around for a while and took a few snaps for the collection. As we've said, these Mother Road automotive oddities are the norm, and you start to become suspicious of establishments that haven't got a DeSoto up on the tiles. Old Chevys. Plymouths. Buicks. Dodges. Fords. We lose count, but keep counting. It's hot around here, by the way. Wall to wall sunshine. Many places look deserted. But the doors are closed because of the air-con. We try to leave our own air-con alone and soak up the warmth. It feels good.
