Tucumcari Ranch Supplies
Tucumcari. We've crossed into New Mexico and the land is opening up. Texas is mostly flat. But there are hills ahead. At regular intervals there are ranch supply stores along the road. Saddles. Stetsons. Indian blankets. Cowboy boots. Free WiFi. Around 6,000 people live, grow up, work, get married and maybe die in Tucumcari. The summers are hot and dry. The winters are cool. The town takes its name from Tucumcari Mountain; a 4,976ft mesa just outside the town. People are friendly pretty much all over America. And here in New Mexico they're no different. We stop. We shop. We leave. We drive. The road draws us on.
